Long-time friends and American-based house producers Frankie Nanna and Cade Solito launch their label Zima Blue, prioritizing groovy and minimalistic sound. They plan to present a broad scope of curation that focuses on tasteful energy and signature artistic flair in each track. Catchy percussive rhythms, funky baselines, and timeless melodies all characterize this label’s tracks. Frankie Nanna, the label’s frontman, comes from a classically trained background, having played in some of the world’s most renowned Jazz venues like “The Kennedy Center” with the National Jazz Workshop Big Band, and the “Blue Note” with the NYU combo band in New York City. After embarking on his journey into the world of house music in 2018, he has signed on labels like Slugg’s Getbusy, and Psicodelica, to name a few. The labels Co/head Cade Solito comes from a production background in hip-hop beats, and since starting to produce house in 2020, he has signed to labels like Vice Music Records and Adam Lance and Wakka’s Special Delivery out of the UK, to name just a couple as well. Ranging from energetic, soulful cuts to sleek classic and jazzy tones, Zima blue presents itself as an imprint centered around getting back to house basics, infectious minimal grooves for peak time in the club or listening in the headphones.
